Trump is Destroying Trust in America

Global power is rebalancing. China, Korea, and Japan are shaking hands. All of it is premised on a hard-earned truth: the United States cannot be trusted to lead. Not because of one man but because of what half the country has chosen to normalize. Not because of Trump alone but because every institution built to restrain him failed and then got in line.
Trump has burned up whatever trust the world ever had in it. Even our allies are looking at how to carry on without the USA.
All roads used to lead to Rome. All roads used to lead to the USA, but those roads are going to be slowly abandoned by others. They will become archaeological artifacts of abandoned greatness. New roads, new trade routes, that by-pass the USA will be developed. Just like US Route 66 got bypassed and abandoned as a highway so too will the routes to the US.
